The Masters of the Universe franchise, created by Mattel in the early 1980s, began as a successful line of action figures inspired by an adventure-packed blend of fantasy and science fiction. The fight between He-Man and his nemesis, Skeletor, for control of the Planet Eternia grew into a franchise anchored on a popular animated series, with comic books, video games, and more. This collection of six sheets was published between 2009 and 2014 by Mattel, Inc. to promote their new line of toys – a throwback to the 80s origins. Each glossy poster presents a different geographical overview of the Masters of the Universe Classics settings; Castle Grayskull, Eternia During the Reign of King Randor, Known Planet Systems in the Horde Empire, Preternia Before the Spell of Separation; Etheria during the Horde Occupation; and Subternia during the Reign of King Skeletor. Sadly, the seventh sheet (the character/toy reference sheet) is lacking, though all maps are present.
