This lively ‘parchment-style’ map of Spanish America was copyrighted in 1952 by John D. Lawrence and published by Marvel Maps of Los Angeles, California. A heavily stylized image pinpoints the locations of dozens of purported lost mines and buried treasures across the region. The various hordes conjure tales of swashbuckling pirates, renegade smugglers, and ambitious prospectors.
